Arindam Agarwal, who is a die-hard cricket fan since his young age always wanted to follow his passion and that is to make quality cricket willows. Hailing from Lucknow, the 20-year-old young boy touched the pinnacle of success that he desired solely because of his never-give-up attitude.

Arindam Agarwal is pursuing Mechanical engineering from the University of Bristol. He was born and brought up in the city of Lucknow in India. He made up his mind to launch his own company and become an entrepreneur. He set up a company by the name of A2 Cricket Pvt Ltd. in 2016 in order to make his city a grand hub of manufacturing cricket bats

He initially started with investing about Rs 20-30 lakhs and hard work was the only tool he used for 6 years to finally launch his company. As of now, the company has an annual turnover of Rs 50 lakhs.

He thoroughly enjoyed playing cricket since his school days and then during college in the UK. Besides playing the bat-ball game that he truly loves the most, he also had an interest in making of cricket bats.

He then analyzed bats, understood different specifications and became the guy in college who suggested people on which kind of bats to buy and when to buy. He used this wide range of knowledge and interest to get into the business of manufacturing bats. He launched a company to make quality cricket bats.

The company manufactures bats from high-class raw materials, premium quality batting gloves, top-notch leg guards also to provide protection. To sum it up, the materials are eco-friendly and they do provide free packaging for customers as well. Besides making bats, they also repair bats and refurbish them if needed.

Balbir Senior featured for the Indian national hockey team during the London Olympics in 1948. He earned a good reputation for being a classy player and had also played a substantial part in the Helsinki Olympics in 1952 and the Melbourne Olympics in 1956.

Balbir Singh was born in 1924 in Punjab. He was a field hockey player for India, who did really well during the London, Helsinki and Melbourne Olympics in 1948, 1952 and 1956 respectively. The team clinched the gold medal in all the three Olympics. In fact, he was the skipper during the Melbourne Olympics. Balbir was the manager and head coach of the Indian men’s hockey team for the 1975 World Cup, which was won by India.

During the London Olympics in 2012, he was felicitated in the Olympic Museum exhibition, “The Olympic Journey: The Story of the Games” staged at the Royal Opera House. It is worth mentioning here that Balbir Senior was the first sportsperson to be honored with the Padma Shri in 1957.

After four years, he performed much better as he helped the team by scoring 13 goals. He was the talk of the town for scoring 70 per cent of India’s total goals in the competition. Among those goals, 5 came in team’s 6-1 win over the Netherlands, which was a new Olympic final record.

Dr K. Sivan is a well known space scientist from Tamil Nadu and now he is the current chairperson of the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO). He took up the reins from A.S. Kiran Kumar to become the 9th head of the 50-year-old prestigious organisation.

Before taking charge as ISRO chief, K.Sivan plied his trade as the former Director of Vikram Sarabhai Space Center and Liquid Propulsion centre. Sivan’s success didn’t come that easy. He had to face a lot of struggles in his life before touching the pinnacle of success.

Dr K.Sivan was born to a farmer in Kanyakumari’s Tarakkanvilai village. He completed his schooling in Tamil medium government schools. He is independent and someone who believed in hard-work and faced challenges with ease. He understood the circumstances and shaped himself in such a way that he taught himself without other’s guidance from family or attending coaching classes. Despite that, he became the first graduate in his family, in what was indeed an unforgettable achievement.

Dr K.Sivan is a member of Indian National Academy of Engineering, Indian Systems Society for Science and Engineering, Aeronautical Society of India, and Systems Society of India. Having gained a wide range of knowledge with regards to launching vehicles, he published a book titled ‘Integrated Design’ for Space Transportation System in the year 2015.

In 1980, Sivan studied Bachelor’s Degree in Aeronautical engineering from Madras Institute of Technology (MIT). Post that he studied Post Graduation his Master’s course in aerospace engineering from IISC Bengaluru and joined the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) in 1982. In ISRO, Sivan was an integral part of the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) project where he played a huge part in the planning, designing, integration, and analysis of the mission.
